Bun-less Burgers Recipe

There’s nothing better than a burger, especially on a warm summer night with some salad and a few cold ones (kombucha…obviously 😜)

Next time you’re looking to make a burger, try this alternative recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • Chicken Breast thinly sliced
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 lettuce leaves / cups (note will need 2 for each burger)
  • Tomato sliced
  • Beetroot sliced (can buy canned already)
  • ​Capsicum sliced
  • Triple cream brie
  • Avocado
  • Lemon
  • Sweet potato sliced into fries shape

Method:

1. Heat a fry pan on medium heat and add olive oil

2. Slice sweet potato and place in oven on 200 degrees celsius for 30-40 mins

3.  Add onion, sauté until caramelised (10-15 minutes). Set aside

4. In a fresh pan add olive oil… once heated add sliced chicken breast (only flip once for chicken to remain tender)

5. Mash avocado and add one whole lemon juice and mix

6. Slice remaining vegetables and cheese

7. Assemble ‘burgers’ by adding avocado, chicken breast top with onion, tomato, beetroot, capsicum and your choice of sauce. Fill as desired. Serve sweet potato chips on the side

Note:

  • Other salad / vegetables can be added too for taste; eg, pineapple, cucumber
